A Tale of Two Cities - Centennial Parade & Festival - Feb. 25
The cities of Avondale and Goodyear will host a joint parade through both cities on Saturday, February 25, 2012, to commemorate the state’s 100th anniversary of statehood.

“A Tale of Two Cities – Avondale & Goodyear Celebrate Arizona’s Centennial” will take place on Thomas Road, from Dysart to Litchfield Roads, beginning at 10am and ending with an exciting, family-focused festival, titled: “Planes, Trains and Automobiles – 100 years of Transportation in the Southwest Valley” at Estrella Mountain Community College.

- Avondale Fire-Rescue Holds Free Immunization Clinics - Feb. 18
Immunizations: It’s best for children to receive immunizations at their pediatrician’s office; however, free immunizations for children under age 19 are available through Avondale Fire-Rescue to anyone who does not have a “medical home” and/or health insurance.
